Windows Vista is the next version of Windows. It is still a beta operating system, so it is extremely buggy and slow. This build is the February CTP uild.
Windows Vista is the name of the next major version of Windows, and the successor to Windows XP. There will be no more Windows XP versions--that is, major updates to Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 (see my review) or Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 -before Windows Vista ships in late 2006.
Windows Vista (formerly codenamed Longhorn) first took on all-new importance in early 2002 when Microsoft decided to reach for the brass ring and make this upcoming Windows release an all-encompassing major upgrade with a new security architecture, a hardware 3D-enabled user interface, and many more exciting new features.
Microsofts latest Windows Vista build - 5308 has been leaked online, and is spreading rapidly over IRC and Bittorrent networks.

This means there is still no decent anti-piracy protection built into 5308. All previous leaked builds have also lacked decent anti-piracy protection, and a single key is enough to run it.

Microsoft is likely not to add a new anti-piracy protection into Vista before the RCs (Release Candidates), to avoid it being cracked before Vista is officially released
